I grew up in the building trade working with my father and brothers building small housing estates. I received my training with Roy Nokes a local builder in the Little Missenden area working on fine old country houses before starting up my own business.
I started trading as N K Building & Renovations in 1982 and have been designing and building houses, extensions and renovating buildings ever since. I now have my son Lee working with me and together we manage all of the projects.

Heat pump’s working a treat in this cold weather and I’ve fitted the blinds to the two Velux windows. Now what else was there to do? Oh, yes, don’t forget to send me the invoice for the worktop fitting!

We Right from the provision of the Bill of Quantities to the final Invoice and the workmanship has been of a consistently high standard in every respect as befits a Master Builder.
We were kept fully informed at each stage of the works and who would be on site; in addition the site itself was kept very tidy.
We would happily recommend NK Build and certainly employ the company again should the need arise.

I believe now is the right time for me to record our thanks to you and your team for the great job you did at Brightwood.
Lots of NK people were involved but I would like to highlight a few of the key players. Firstly Alan, ably supported by Carl, did a superb job in managing the delicate task of demolishing the existing structure, the installation of the steels, and the rebuilding of the supporting walls.
Callum and Adam did a great job on first fix carpentry, stud work, plaster boarding, and plastering, and all to a high standard. Pete produced a fine new roof that was sympathetic to Brightwood’s existing, and Jani’s painting was a great supporting act. I haven’t mentioned everybody, but you know who they are, and they are definitely included.
I’m sure you’re proud of your guys; they’re great ambassadors for NK. If you ever need a Client recommendation I’m your man.

Thank you Lee and Nick for delivering our project on time and on budget.
Rick installed a number of downlighters in the extension when built. However last may he had to come back and replace a number of them as there was a manufacturing fault with the chrome finish causing them to bubble after a period of time. We have then notice a further 5 lights have developed the same fault. Without any fuss he has contacted his supplier, obtained replacements for them, come back and fitted them. Even though they would be out of warranty.
